Cancellation requests received more than 48 hours in advance receive a full refund. Cancellation requests between 48-24 hours in advance receive a 50% refund. Cancellation requests within 24 hours of the tour start time will not receive a refund but may be considered for an alternate tour date. Outshine Adventures reserves the right to cancel a tour at any time due to severe weather, low enrollment or other concerns. In the event of a cancellation, a rescheduled tour date will be offered. In the event you cannot attend the rescheduled tour, a full refund will be issued. If the tour begins and inclement weather occurs that poses a safety risk and is canceled at the discretion of the guide after 1 full hour; the tour is considered to be complete. If the cancellation occurs less than 1 hour into the tour, a reschedule date and/or refund will be available. Thank you for your courtesy and understanding with this policy.

When a guest makes a reservation with a start date more than 14 days in advance, a $500 reservation deposit is charged when the host accepts the reservation. Otherwise, the reservation total is charged in full.

No, we require you to wear a personal flotation device (lifejacket) throughout the duration of the tour, which will keep you afloat in the event you fall of the board into the water.
Yes, all participants are required to wear a lifejacket while participating in our adventures. It’s best practice to wear a personal floatation device not only our policy to satisfy the lawyers and insurance company but it’s also best practice for all paddling activities. Yes, the maximum weight limit for SUP boards is 275 lbs. Minimum weight is 50 lbs for personal flotation devices for children. This adventure is most appropriate for ages 13+ with a participating adult. Children under the age of 13 may be required to share a paddle board and ride with an adult depending on height and coordination. Please contact us directly with any questions or concerns.

Renters have the ability to take the van where ever they journey takes them. The van is not off-road capable so the journey and all roads leading to adventure must be paved. We have a 150 miles per day limit with an additional fee charged for any miles over that limit.

The Outshine Adventure van has solar and shore power options to always have electricity. The van comes equipped with an overhead fan, A/C, heater, dome and accent lighting, thule awning, TV, and backup cam. We can customize the van to your group size and travel needs. Bed set up can sleep 1-4 people (up to 2 double bed platforms with mattresses and bedding). Add a kitchen pod with 6 gallon fresh water and grey water tanks, pressurized hot water, outdoor shower curtain and hose, cabinets, bike carrier, extra seats, privacy curtains, stove, cookware, table, chairs and so much more.
The van is 22 feet long, 10.5 feet tall and 8.5 feet wide. Renters should be aware of the height and avoid low clearance areas like restaurant drive thrus, low bridges and parking garages.

Yes, the van has an overhead A/C unit built in that runs off shore power. The van was built on a passenger van chassis which means it have standard heat and a/c functions like a traditional vehicle.

We are located in Chattanooga and have secure, covered parking. An address will be provided upon confirmed rental through Outdoorsy. We can also pick you up at the Chattanooga airport.
We provide a coleman propane stove and outdoor table for your cooking needs while on the road. The van was not equipped with a built in stove and we’re okay with that. Cooking can get messy and we’d rather you and everyone else do that outside the van.
Although the van can be equipped with a toilet, we don’t offer that to renters for a variety of reasons. Mainly, we want to avoid cross contamination and reduce the number of people going to the bathroom inside the van. We encourage all renters to stay at designated campgrounds with restroom facilities, which is best practice and in accordance with Leave No Trace Principles.
No, the van does not have a built in navigation system. Most people have access to google maps or other navigation apps on their smartphones. We encourage you to bring a charger.
