Looking for a way to get outside and discover new places in Chattanooga? Join Outshine Adventures for a fun day pedaling bikes along the Tennessee Riverwalk learning about the local history, art and other points of interest! We’ll start this tour in historic St. Elmo nestled at the foot of Lookout Mountain with a short safety briefing and bike fit. We'll then cruise the Tennessee Riverpark through the old industrial core into downtown Chattanooga. The paved pathway follows the Tennessee River offering sweeping views and a safe place to bike for beginners without having to deal with traffic. We'll pause at the Bluff View Art District for photo opportunities with the iconic Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge before making our into Coolidge Park to view public art. As we make our way back to St. Elmo, we will finish with ice cream at Clumpies, a Chattanooga staple, situated at the base of the Incline Railway. This tour is a total of 15 miles with 605 ft of elevation gain. The total duration of the tour depends on the groups riding abilities and the duration of each stop. Please assess your own abilities before signing up for this tour. Can you bike 15 miles in roughly 2.5 hours? Please plan for at least 3 hours for the total duration of this tour. This adventure is ideal for most beginner to intermediate bikers who want a unique way to experience Chattanooga and get some fresh air while doing it.
